Welcome to Infinite Wellbeing's
Community Centre.
Based in Heanor, this is your place to come together for food, activities, community events and support.
There's a constant buzz of activities and friendly faces ready to guide you, whether you're looking for support, a listening ear, or a chance to join in with something exciting.
A huge warm welcome to you!
Our aim is to create a safe space with something for the whole community to enjoy.

At Infinite Wellbeing, we know that having a good support network is vital - we certainly rely on ours and we wouldn't be where we are without the support of lots of amazing people.
We all go through difficult times in our lives. Having a strong support network makes a huge difference in helping you cope and get through those tough times.
A strong support network…
💚 Helps you cope with stress and difficult life events
💚 Provides you with a sense of belonging and connection
💚 Gives you someone to talk to about your problems
💚 Helps you make decisions
💚 Provides you with practical help, such as childcare or transport
💚 Helps you stay motivated and on track
💚 Is always there for a laugh and a chat

How do you find that strong support network?

Joining groups with like-minded people is a great start. You can find a huge variety of groups:

💚 People from your area
💚 People at the same stage in life as you, such as parents or retirees
💚 People with the same interests as you, such as craft or cooking
💚 People who are going through the similar struggles as you, such as mental health issues or being a carer
💚 Or simply other people who love cake and a cuppa!

If you want to find that group who lift you up and cheer you on, come along to Infinite Wellbeing's Community Centre. We have loads on offer and are adding more all the time.

We’d love for you to become part of our community. Come and join us for a cuppa and a chat.
Black Shale Ambassador
In 2024 we became an Ambassador with Black Shale, advocating for creativity and culture for
our local children and young people.
What is Black Shale (cultural education partnership)?
Black Shale is a collective of creatives, educators and community leaders with an ambition and
commitment to children’s arts and cultural education.
It works within a 5 mile radius of Alfreton, and partners include youth groups, artists and
creatives, nursery, infant, primary, secondary and special schools, community groups, creative
organisations, charities and local authorities. It is core funded by Arts Council England with
additional investment from various grant funders and commissioners.
The partnership seeks to be inspired by our place and strengths - harnessing the magic and
potential of living and working here. Black Shale has been working since 2018 in this way, and
we know we have lot to be proud of and always more to do to make sure children and young
people have access and influence over their creative, artistic and cultural experiences.
The partnership is hosted by local arts organisation Platform Thirty1 and you can find out more
about our collective work at www.black-shale.co.uk
